Effing Trade Skincare - Where Cheekiness Meets Science. Effing Trade Skincare was founded in Austin, Texas, in 2025 with one big idea: skincare should feel good really good. Too often, skincare feels clinical, complicated, or like something you have to do. We wanted to flip that script. At Effing Trade, self-care is about joy, color, and a wink of mischief. After all, every face deserves a happy ending.
Our masks don’t just sit there. They hug your skin like a second layer, delivering hydration and glow exactly where you need it. And while the outside is bold, playful, and a little cheeky, what’s inside is all business: science-backed ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and peptides that put your skin first.

For me, this mission is personal. I know what it feels like to wonder if you’ll be safe just for being who you are. No one should ever have to choose between self-expression and security. Effing Trade exists to remind people that joy and care belong together — and that beauty should always leave the world a little better than it found it.
The Story Behind Effing Trading
Hi, I’m Cody, the founder of Effing Trade. I grew up in rural Virginia, where being a young gay man meant learning to hide the most colorful, playful parts of myself just to get by. Coming out was tough, and for years I lived in survival mode: serious, guarded, and focused on staying safe.
That mindset shaped my career in government and public policy, where I worked to protect others from the instability I knew all too well — especially the fear of not having a place to call home. But even as I built a career, I realized I wasn’t giving myself permission to show up fully. I wasn’t letting in the color, humor, and joy that made me feel alive.
Effing Trade is my love letter to those parts of myself. It’s more than skincare; it’s a declaration that every version of who we are deserves care and celebration. Each mask carries a piece of my story — and extends an invitation to you to embrace your own.
